Regular cleaning, avoiding direct sunlight, and proper use are key to extending the lifespan of your mattress cover. Scientific maintenance can stabilize its function and improve its durability, especially important for waterproof and mite-proof models.
1. Regular Cleaning to Maintain Cleanliness
Recommended Frequency: Machine wash every 3 months. For high-frequency use (e.g., children's rooms, pet-friendly homes), this can be reduced to once a month.
Cleaning Method: Use a neutral detergent and keep the water temperature between 30℃ and 60℃.
Select the "gentle" cycle on your washing machine to avoid damaging the fabric with strong agitation.
Do not tumble dry products with TPU waterproof membranes at high temperatures to prevent the membrane from becoming brittle and peeling off.
2. Avoid Direct Sunlight to Prevent Material Aging
Prolonged exposure to sunlight can cause the TPU waterproof membrane to become brittle and crack, and pure cotton or bamboo fiber fabrics to fade and harden.
3. Air dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area. Sunlight sterilization is unnecessary (machine washing at 60℃ is sufficient to kill mites).
4. Proper use reduces physical wear and tear.
Secure corners: Ensure the elastic band completely covers the four corners of the mattress to prevent shifting, friction, pilling, or tearing.
Anti-slip bottom design for greater durability: Choose models with silicone anti-slip particles to reduce wear from daily sliding.
Avoid contact with sharp objects: Prevent pets from scratching or wearing hard objects on the bed to avoid damaging the waterproof layer.
5. Use with a sheet to reduce soiling. Laying a sheet over the protective cover effectively reduces direct contact between sweat and dander.
Especially suitable for non-waterproof pure cotton/bamboo fiber models, significantly extending the washing cycle and overall lifespan.
