Quilts are mainly divided into five categories: down quilts, silk quilts, wool quilts, cotton quilts, and fiber quilts. Each type has its own characteristics in terms of warmth, weight, and breathability, suitable for different people and seasons.
1. Down Quilts: Filled with goose down or duck down, they have high loft, strong warmth, and are lightweight, making them the quilts with the highest "warmth-to-price ratio." Suitable for winter use, especially recommended for those who are sensitive to the cold or prefer a lightweight feel.
Advantages: Ultra-lightweight, excellent warmth, moisture-wicking and breathable.
Selection Tips: Prioritize goose down quilts with a down content of over 90% and a loft of 700+. The filling weight should be less than 1200g for a double quilt in southern regions and around 1400g in northern regions.
2. Silk Quilts: Filled with mulberry silk or tussah silk, they have a smooth, cloud-like feel and excellent body-hugging comfort, earning them the reputation of "breathable quilts." Suitable for all seasons, especially for those who sweat easily or have sensitive skin.
Advantages: Natural and environmentally friendly, breathable and dry, antibacterial and anti-mite.
Selection Tips: Choose 100% long-filament silk. The filling amount should be adjusted according to the season: approximately 2kg in spring and autumn, and up to 4kg in winter.
